    Bat ID (UK)

I caught this (poor quality, slowed) video recently and I'm trying to ID the species. We have few colonies of Pipistrelle bat in the old buildings but haven't seen this before. Long Eared? Thanks. Google Drive Link

    Barn Owls (UK)

The Barn Owls currently have three chicks with two eggs yet to hatch. My upload speeds on 'Rural Broadband' are poor so refresh is slow. Live Barn Owl Camera

    Couple of Barn Owl queries.

Up until now I have found the answers in the forum but... Why do Barn Owls continue to mate (regularly) even when there are chicks in the nest? Why does the hen 'cultivate' with her bill around the edge of the nest when sitting on eggs/chicks? She has already crumbled most of the pellets. Thanks.

Hello All I arrived here after 'Googling' some bird info (never been on here before) and subsequently spent an hour reading various posts. Hope I can contribute in some way in the future. John
