    I'll be in both Cairns and Port Douglas for work and wondered how easy it was to see lots of the endemics. There are tours in the area like fine feather tours which look good but pricey but I assume it's difficult to do it alone on unfamiliar roads? Time is early May. Thanks!

    Does anyone know sites where you can view Bourke's parrot near PA? http://www.birdssa.asn.au/images/saopdfs/Volume33/2001V33P170.pdf This document suggests the woodlands to the NW, but these appear to be extensive. Thanks!

    Is it possible to see wild red crowned cranes or are you only able to see the ones in the observatories etc. Although it would be great to see them regardless it's always better to see non tame birds. Is it possible to birdwatch in eastern or northern Hokkaido in Nov without a car or would it be...

    Hi All, I've read some reports on the web of people chasing snowy owls around Xiqi in Inner Mongolia is this something that is obtainable to the average person (hiring a guide etc). Are they in the area by late Nov or only by Dec? Thanks, Stu
