    great horned owl with a mink

    i had to check images to remember the minks. he looks like ricky ticky tavy LOL these guys say wolves, foxes and great horned owls in that order: http://www.animalspot.net/american-mink.html I'd add coyotes just due to their numbers before wolves and foxes

    wind power on the whole has been a terrible disaster for birds. they won't tell us how many hawks and eagles and other species have been killed. total blackout on the subject.

    colorado birders?

    In an effort to revive this thread might we get some folks to drop in their favorite local birding spots in and around the front range. my personal favorite is barr lake with the migration south the next month at this lake is amazing for water foul.

    I don't know much about bird houses!

    I would absolutely hang them now. There are many birds and critters that could make use of habitat throughout the winter. You can always clean out the box in the spring if necessary.
