    South Shields pier this evening for an hour. Stonechat, Gannet, Ringed Plover, Wren, Sanderling, Black headed and Herring Gull. Cormorant, Goldfinch.

    A pair of Sparrowhawks, long tailed tit, Robin and Greater Spotted Woodpecker and pheasants galore today at Low Cocken.

    Had a bimble around Marsden quarry, crows, pigeons, sparrowhawk being mobbed by four magpies, flock of less than a dozen goldfinches. Should have stayed nearer shields pier, red throated diver spotted.
