    Spring Migrants 2011

    Saw my first Wheatear yesterday. Last week the odd Meadow Pipit, yesterday many, many Meadow Pipits. My eldest son says he has seen a Swallow today in Shepley, West Yorkshire.

    Thomson..... Had a phone call last Friday from Thomson....we are travelling from Manchester and we realise that the plane picks up passengers at Gatwick. On the return journey, on arrival at Gatwick, the Manchester people have to get off the plane with hand luggage and go through scanners...

    Last week I received an email from a very reliable source that the 15 April flight would be back on their website 1 February, last Monday, and would be there for all to book. It's Wednesday now.....and no flight as yet.....I despair..!!

    If you wished for a bird in your Garden, what would it be?

    There is a Tawny Owl that is calling somewhere nearby, just wish I could look out one morning and its there in our garden. We had a Redwing today and last week we had a female Blackcap for a few days.
