    ISO Portable - NOT CELL PHONE APP - Bird Call Indentifier

    My mom seems to think/recall there is a product that is portable you can hold in the direction of bird calls and it will identify the bird. She is 89 years old with bad eyesight and she struggles with cell phones and app tech so that is not an option. Is anyone aware of such a device?

    Is blood on freshly laid eggs normal?

    i have, what I think, is a young eastern phoebe setting up her first nest. she worked for days in several spots under the porch with no luck (ledges were not deep enough). in the second area i rigged a small platform to give her some room to build, which she did in no time. she has laid her eggs...
