URGENT! Common / Pallid swift in need of help. Almeria, Spain.

Yep.. already considering taking the swift to the one in my county when I get the chance, if he doesn't fly today. UPDATE: drinking loads, more active, not eating a lot ( 1 mealworm today, 1.5 mealworms + a fly yesterday)

Thanks (: I have fed it a couple of mealworms and it has drunk plenty of water, just not sure whether to launch it or not...

URGENT! Common / Pallid swift in need of help. Almeria, Spain.

Yeah, I understand. But this wing... I have tried just throwing it up a couple of inches, and it hasn't done very well. It has sort of hovered and flapped about (with both wings) but not much more. It may be true that it needs more height, but I am going to give it a little longer before I...

URGENT! Common / Pallid swift in need of help. Almeria, Spain.

Thanks. Yep, I see. Honestly, I just don't think they would bother in the vet's, they would just put it down. As for specialized wildlife hospitals, I don't know any in the area, and beacuase of Covid I can't travel far... I took it out earlier, and it had a g at flying but honestly it is...

URGENT! Common / Pallid swift in need of help. Almeria, Spain.

Hi people, I just got back from school and was looking out my window when I spotted this swift flopping around on the ground in a park. I walked down and picked her up and brought her home, and upon examination I don't see any damage. I suspect that she hit the window of a building in the park...

    Just a sanderling? Almeria, Spain.

How interesting... I wouldn't be surprised,I definitely saw at least 1 stint on the day... Sadly I haven't got any more photos.

    Just a sanderling? Almeria, Spain.

Hiya, saw 2 of these birds yesterday at a small river mouth (leading into the sea) walking along the edge with turnstones, sanderlings, little ringed plovers, kentish plovers and a little stint. I'm fairly sure these are just sanderlings, but the bill looked a bit odd, and they have interesting...

Gull/Wader/other seabird, I have no clue!! ---- Almeria, Spain.

Ohh, really? I just looked online, and I can see that they have a white line along the outer edge of their wing, quite visible in flight. I think I can see small black eyes when I zoom in on the photo, like SBGs, so I think you could be right! I have seen them around here before, so I wouldn't...

Gull/Wader/other seabird, I have no clue!! ---- Almeria, Spain.

Hi people. I have included below the worst quality picture you'll be able to find on this forum. I saw these 3 birds flying a long way off shore, didn't have my scope on me and just took a quick shot. Having looked back at the photo, I have no clue what the birds are. They are probably some sort...

Really! Wow! I have been dying to see one for ages, they aren't a normal sighting round here!!!!! How can you be so sure that it is a peregrine?

Do Kestrels fly very high up? --- Almeria, Spain.

Here is another one of my rubbish photos. Saw this bird today whilst out walking. It was extremely high up in the sky (300-400m +). I see lots of kestrels around this area, but I have never seen any fly this high up. It was gliding, didn't even see it flap its wings, slowly flying in circles and...

    Tern Sp. --- Almeria, Spain.

Ok, I understand. So I guess it's a sandwich tern. It was just the bill, it looked so weird. Thank you everyone for your help.
