    Nikon 1 J5

Hi Neil-T, good advice from the other posters, that have given you some pointers to Dumb adapters, but for the record the one I use is the K and F Concept version, (Amazon), strong and well made. Good luck with your choice. If your 600/4 VR1 has a manual adjustable aperture ring you can also use...

    Nikon 1 J5

Sorry if this is a bit late, but, the J5 WILL work with the 200-500/5.6 and 600/4, IF you use a dumb adaptor. Set camera (J5) to M (manual exposure on the top dial of camera), you will have to manual focus the lens, your aperture will be f4 or f5.6 pending on lens, and is not adjustable. The...

    Nikon D810

Funny how when this was first suggested on that "other site", there was a lot of abuse by some about mass hysteria and scare stories etc, well that was until the advisory note arrived in their inbox. Strange that this can't be done by simple firmware update as per normal, but has to be sent in...

Great image of this very noisy bird, there is a small but thriving colony of these in the Soto Grande complex in S.Spain,( East of Gib) where they live and nest in the palm trees, great little birds to watch, very fine image.

Classic image of a little owl, these are lovely little birds as your image shows, have seen many of these on the old road between Carceres and Truijllo, (Extremadura). Great picture Duponti.

    Sigma 150/2.8 vs Nikon 200/4

Hi Steve, I have the micro nikkor 200/4, and a DG version (Nikon fit) of the Sigma 180/3.5 (ie not OS ) and also a Canon fit 150 Sigma DG version. The two Nikon fits give excellent results on DSLRs and also on the Nikon 1 cameras with the FT1 adaptor. Many insect images in my gallery taken with...

    TREADING WATER

Strange that Mallards are probably one of the first birds we see as small children, but which we ignore as we grow up. So here's one, in memory of the bags full of bread I must have thrown to them.
