    Canary Red Admiral is a fabulous butterfly. I find them quite strikingly different in the field. Agree on the Charcos at Erjos. A few dragons finding the damper spots but that's it.

    Thanks. Time of year most likely. Things are picking up here on Fuerteventura. Movement of Gannets north (95 in 90 minutes on 5th Feb) and numbers of Cory's building at the moment. Yesterday picked up a petrel sp. (but late and quite distant and no detail on it at all).

    I was there all of March two years ago and had plenty from Torrevieja itself (Cabo Cervera) - recorded on four dates, peak count 25 on 6/3/22. It was an exceptionally stormy month though.

    Another no show today. :( Would a lone bird be doing much nesting? I've found Atlantic Lizard quite scarce but seen them in a few places. Best spot for me was Faro de Tostón near El Cotillo. I've never seen Eastern Canary Gecko.

    The Tropicbird has not shown at all on several days recently but I'm assured it will still be around. I've been there for 3 out of the past 6 days and no-one has seen it on those days. Was seen well on at least 2 of the other days though. I'll be there again this afternoon.
