    Mistle or Song Thrush?

    I've had a pair of Thrushes visiting my garden and feasting on the apples every day since the 25th January, but cannot decide whether they are Mistle or Song Thrushes. I do have fairly good pics, but not sure how to post them, but will have a go! Jennie.

    A Woodpecker....not quite

    We've only just moved house and have at long last aquired a garden that might see some birdy life. So it was with great joy I heard the tap, tap, tapping of a Woodpecker close by in our neighbour's garden. Peering very cautiously through the hedge I saw my 'woody' was in fact a Great Tit still...

    Hello Everyone!

    I am quite an ancient lady from Dorset who loves birds ( particularly raptors), butterflies, bugs and anything that will allow me to take almost reasonable photographs! Looking forward to learning lots from the very knowledgeable people on this site. Jen
