    hi all,could any one please identify this bird for me? i was walking along the beach yesterday when this little fella caught my attention.was about the size of a skylark.first impressions tell me wheatear but the colours arent the same as any of my reference books.the photo has not been enhanced...

    duck or goose?

    came across this bird a couple of weeks ago on a local pond.cant decide whether it is a duck or a goose or a mixture of both.was a little larger in size than a mallard but nowhere near as big as greylag for example.any ideas please ?
