    Gulls in Surrey and Middlesex, England

    Hi Neil (and all) FWIW, I think first bird is (as Tim42's already mentioned) a Great Black backed gull and the second a Lesser Black backed Gull. The first to me looks like a fairly classic late season GBB. If there was anything around for comparison size would have been the easiest clue...
