    Vulture in Gambia

    I saw this vulture being mobbed by a couple of Black Kites, I think it's a European Griffon Vulture but as my field guide says they are uncommon I would like conformation. Picture was taken in Kololi, Gambia on 06/12/11

    Help with I.Ds from Goa

    Any help confirming or correcting my I.Ds would be appreciated, all photos taken in Goa Nov - Dec. In pic 1, The Black-headed Ibis is for size comparison it's the cormorant I'm unsure of.

    BOP in Gambia

    I've just returned from Gambia and saw plenty of birds, I've managed to I.D. them all except these two. For pic 1 I thought Lanner Falcon seemed most likely. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    2 LBB's - Lancashire

    Help with I.D. please. I thought willow warbler for the second (although it's song was different form the RSPB website) and no idea for the first.

    Meadow pipit? - Yorkshire

    Am I correct in thinking this is a meadow pipit. It was flying straight upwards and singing then falling/drifting back down.

    Morecambe Bay waders

    Just the birds in the centre foreground. I have never seen any of them before, but after much deliberation I have come up with. (left to right) Whimbrel, Curlew & Bar-Tailed Godwit. Confirmation or correction would be appreciated. Thanks

    BOP Silhouette - Strumpshaw fen

    I though this may be a merlin, but according to the notebook in a nearby hide a hobby had been seen the same day. I have tried increasing the brightness in photoshop, but it dosen't help much

    Kestrel or merlin?

    At first I thought this was a female kestrel, now after looking at field guides and pictures on this site and RSPB website I think it might be a merlin. The more I look the more confused I get.........but with my I.D'ing skills it's probably neither.

    Sanibel Island I.D. request

    I photographed this bird on a beach on Sanibel Island in October, I have looked through a Birds of Florida book but can't find it. I would have liked to spend more time and get a better shot, but about 10 foot in front of the bird, just next to the rocks it is standing on was a very pretty...
