    Round the reserve at first light today, at the northern end a Snipe 10 Shellduck, 6 Goldeneye and 4 Little Egret were present. A Pied Wagtail at the farm and a Cettis at the Heronry pool Provided useful year ticks. Martin.

    Do not try this at home

    When we returned from birding today we loaded our gear into the car and set of after 5 minutes my son realised that he had left his bins on the roof, stopping the car they were no longer there so we set of to find them this is what we found. Oh well he wanted a new pair any way Martin

    Black Terns

    Took an evening stroll around Kingsbury Water Park today and found a group of about eight black terns on canal pool.     your fave bird which regularly comes to britain.

    Has to be the sedge warbler for me, it was the first warbler I ever identified and hearing them brings back fond memories and tells me summer is on the way. Martin

    Kingsbury Water Park

    Hi all I went out early this morning(in the pouring rain) for a couple of hours round kingsbury water park with my son. We managed to clock up 40 species and had a great view of a fox hunting along the lake margins. All that and home for breakfast, well worth it |:D| Martin
