Thx! Interesting how different this one sounded compared to all the others I’ve heard.

    Birdsong - Northern Sweden today

Recorded today in Umeå in Northern Sweden. It’s the sound I’m asking about. I just can’t remember which bird this is. Thx!

    8x32 without blackouts?

Thanks a lot for all the valuable info! I was wondering about Brexit, it’s a shame about the import taxes. I bought a lot of birding gear from the UK before I got my kids. I’m very tempted about those EL SV 8x32 now.. 😊

    8x32 without blackouts?

Thanks! Where is a good place to look for second hand binos except here on Bf?

Kowa 883 still the best one?

Interesting. Which zoom eyepiece is considered the best? Saw two options at Swedish stores. One x20-60 and one x30-60.

Kowa 883 still the best one?

Awesome that you got the chance to do such an direct comparison. Promising that the difference wasn’t bigger than that you still decided to keep the S2. I will definitively make sure to test one.

    8x32 without blackouts?

I’ve had a break from birding since I got my first kid 2015. I sold the Zeiss for the same money I payed for them and I figured I could buy a new pair of binos once I had time to go again.

    8x32 without blackouts?

Yeah you are right. It’s too much hassle now wearing them all the time. So proper eye relief is key.

    8x32 without blackouts?

£1000 or possibly more if it’s worthwhile to spend the extra buck. I wear glasses but I can’t decide if I want em on while I watch or not.

Kowa 883 still the best one?

Sounds good! Is the 20-70 zoom eyepiece good?

Kowa 883 still the best one?

Thanks. So the Meopta is that good? The price is tempting. How are their customers service?

    8x32 without blackouts?

They are truly excellent and they bring incredible value for the price. I find them very sharp and with surprisingly low CA. I am not going to sell them, the reason I’m asking for help here is because my wife (whom loves these lightweight binos and don’t struggle with blackouts) will keep them...

    8x32 without blackouts?

I honestly thought I owned a pair of 8x32, thanks for pointing that out! It might play a small role in all this. Thanks for the good and less good ones, Swaro seems good again!

    8x32 without blackouts?

Interesting regarding ER/and blackouts. Thanks for the suggestion about the Swaros!

    8x32 without blackouts?

Yeah I have a pair of older Monarch 8x42 and they give me no problem with blackouts.

    8x32 without blackouts?

I just find that these binoculars give more blackouts than previous ones I’ve owned. The pair I had before was the Zeiss Victory fFL 8 32 and I can’t remember having this issue with those. The Zeiss was way more expensive though so I guess that plays a part. I did not mean I have issues with CA...

    8x32 without blackouts?

I currently own a pair of Monarch 7 8x30. Light weight and sharp, great binos for the price. I do however don’t fancy the blackouts these binos unfortunately give me. Which 8x32 offer a sharp image without CA and without blackouts?

Kowa 883 still the best one?

Sorry for being a bit unclear, just meant I have an open mind towards price worthy rivals.

Kowa 883 still the best one?

Hi. I’ve had a hiatus due to kids and life and during this period I’ve only had my Celestron Regal 65–D. It’s been very very good for the money but now I want something more premium. I’ve missed the last 6 years of new products but is the Kowa 883 still top of the bunch? I want a spotting scope...
