    Impressive list for the Faithful alright - Sociable Plover & American Robin; both very nice indeed. Surprised RN Duck not there yet. Will have a scout through some older references over next few days and see if I can find anything.

    UK : ring-billed gull?

    Nice bird and a nice shot Paul. As others have said it's definitiely an adult Ring-billed. The pale eye (dark in Common Gull) and the relatively limited extent of white on tertial crescent are good pointers for ID.

    Joe, Ta for that - just the light was good for a change. Gull is around the general harbour area - been on the beach north of harbour, out on water and around back of south pier also. Black Red seems to favour south pier around O Sheas and rocky area behind south pier. Bit elusive at times...
