    This was smaller that the other gulls around it, which I think were Western gulls. It also had distinctive legs of a pale grey blue...only one I can find in Sibley with legs like that is the Calif gull second winter, but it didn't have much brown on it. thanks for the help

    HI, this lone bird has been on beach patrol the last 2 days I've been plein air painting at No. Salmon Creek Beach ...I can't find it in my bird book thanks for the help I love that it sticks its whole head under the sand sometimes to get it's meal.
