    Thanks for the review Piergiovanni ! I tested the GPO Passion HD vs Nikon Monarch HG 10x42 and, I can't forget the incredible weight (850g !), the small field of view and the lack of field flattener. For a 1000€ binocular it's not normal. The oculars are not confortable (not adapted at my face)...

    The strap loop is at the center of the grip, where is located the hollow for the thumb : it's very inconfortable ! (n)

    GPO with an Alpha body ? But not an Alpha ingineering... (i.e. photo) I don't find the GPO warmer and sharper than Nikon MHG (in the 10x). Edge to edge, the MHG are, in my impression, sharper.

    For me, the GPO Passion HD are not in the same league than the Nikon MHG : the eyecups are inconfortable, they are too heavy, the FOV is poor and they produce more flare in opposite light. Just the price is the same (in Europe). :unsure:

    (When i was looking for a decent 10x42 at low price i tried the A-amzon "try and return" policy for the Monarch vs Frontier ED. I finally bought the Frontier ED with a totaly refund from A-mazon for the Monarch that I returned... o:D ! )

    You should also consider the Carson 3D serie with ED glass : less CA than EndeavorII, compact and cheap. For me, on par with the Sapphire ED top hinge (10x42) for sharpness and CA control. With A-mazon return policy, it's a good deal... :t:

    +1 for the 8x30 or 32. My wife chose the Monarch M7 8x30 and likes them a lot. She feels the Hawke Frontier 10x43 too heavy and less confortable. My two cents : I found the Vanguard Spirit ED very bad (both 10/8x42 and 8x36) ...
