Alpen Wings ED 10x25 Binos - Review

Alpen Wings ED 10x25 Binos Seems like this thread was hijacked. Shouldn't these posts be under a separate thread?

Alpen Wings ED 10x25 Binos - Review

Focus knob placement That's not true. I don't think the position of the focusing wheel is good. It feels very unnatural having to use my non-index fingers to focus it. I have the Alpen Wings ED 8x20. I think the optics have a lot of potential, but mine are going to need to go back to the...

    Vortex Viper 6x32 binoculars review

Ouch Ouch, James... all those fees sting. See my comments in the other Vortex thread about the Bushnell 8x36's. They get a big two thumbs up from me. I have 2009 Nikon Monarch 12x42's. While they do have some more resolving power than my Zeiss 10x32 Victory's, it's not that much more...

Vortex Viper 6x32 or Vortex Viper HD 6x32 ?

Field of view Isn't the main reason for buying lower power binoculars that they have a wider field of view? In this case the 8x Bushnells have a wider field of view than the 6x Vipers.

Vortex Viper 6x32 or Vortex Viper HD 6x32 ?

Vs. To answer your original question, Vortex Viper 6x32 or Vortex Viper HD 6x32, I suggest the Bushnell 8x36 Legend Ultra HD. They are about an ounce heavier than the Vortex, but * more compact * higher magnification * wider field of view * much, much better optically (at least based...

Theron Saker 15-45x60mm ED spotter compared to the Nikon > 20-45x60mm Non ED Fieldsco

Wow I have looked through a Theron Saker. I don't really have spotting scope knowledge, but I thought the image was absolutely gorgeous. They should really fix the scope caps though. They don't stay on at all.

Vortex Viper 6x32 or Vortex Viper HD 6x32 ?

Review mmx_4, see my review under the Other binocular subforum. It could be that I got a bad sample. I only had a sample size of 1 (well actually 2 if you count both barrels). Or it could just be me... Maybe my eyesight is odd. I don't wear glasses though, and I do usually agree with the...

    Vortex Viper 6x32 binoculars review

After reading glowing reviews and comments about the Vortex Viper 6x32 binoculars, I was influenced to purchase them when they started to be discounted approximately 50%. The binoculars are just about identical in size to Zeiss Victory 10x32's. Build quality seems flawless. They are marked...

Vortex Viper 6x32 or Vortex Viper HD 6x32 ?

My sample of the Vortex Viper 6x32 had a large amount of field curvature.
