    Will just to add to the above the kit I have is the full kit with the astro eye pieces, mount bar and case. I have also sprayed the tube a matt grey as I felt the gold tube was a bit too glossy for field use. I also fit a 12mm extension between the adaptor and camera as this gives me much more...

    Hi Will in your budget you could get a Sky-Watcher 80ED http://www.pulsar-optical.co.uk/prod/telescopes/sky-watcher/proseries/edrefractors2.html They also do the Optical Tube Assembly with focuser and rings bit without all the astro gear and a mounting bar...
