Cleaning up a bin after a long day birding isn't such a bad idea... Keeps the expensive equipment in great shape... A little maintenance doesn't require a lot of time and does not have to include a soap wash everytime. -

Strangest thing, Swarovski doesn't know anything about new Swarovski armor? My guess is it this so called new armor is some kind Hoax... Your statement is proof enough that the armor issues are highly blown out of proportion (in my opinion, that is!) -

Well, most of us (and I certainly) do not suffer from the "armor problems". In fact, there's not much complaining about it on the internet except here on BF. Guess you will be missing out on a lot of great feature's skipping the beautiful EL. For a fact I do not completely trust the "poll"... -

Every bino send in for a service gets new armour. Even if the armour is still okee. It's some kind of complimentary service (sometimes they need to remove the older armor for the repair itself.) That's why I wonder how widespread the problem really is. Replacing good armour with degrading armour... -

Yes, guess it is a problem in some climates or heavy using. if Swarovski aknowledge their current armor is problematic it would absolutely make no sense they would still expose users with perfectly good armor to the inferior armor after a service… -

It makes no sense if Swarovski would replace “older good armor” for the “new armor” knowing the last one gives problems after a while. They could easily choose not to do this as an extra service. Doing this, knowing it gives a great change of problems, would be something as “seeking for...
