What were the times Ray? There was a good movement at Holme NOA and a flock of 28 through Titchwell at 945am Let's hope we get a passage like the one on 6th & 7th Oct 2012 when over 1200 went through Hunstanton. It was awesome!

Hi Derek, every time I open and read my copy of Birds magazine, I am astounded at all the fantastic examples of what the RSPB does with our subscriptions to protect endangered birds, wildlife and habitats in this country and around the world. For non-members (shame on you!) who don't get the...

Absolutely AWESOME Andy and i had to go to Fakenham and missed the lot |>:(| Were they in/off from the north or did they come from the east and switch south when they saw the bend in the coast?

It could all change but we could get a decent northerly next Thursday. The low causing these winds stalls and deepens over the North Sea next Wednesday. It's a similar scenario to last Mondays low, though at the moment the maps show it too far north to give us the 'over the top' easterlies in...

I had an interesting first hour after dawn sea watching today at Holme in the shapes of 613 gannets west. These were the birds that close enough to positively identify. There were many more distant shapes heading west and at least another 100 actively fishing in the distant turbines. There must...

Yesterday, I managed 7 Arctic skuas, 18 distant skua sp (probably all Arctics), 1 summer plumage RTDiver and 1 Manx off Titchwell in 2.5 hrs. Interestingly, in around 15 hours sea watching last Thursday, Friday and yesterday I have only seen one kittiwake and two auk sp.
