Paul Many thanks for your reports each day. As someone who lives some distance away and visits when possible your reports have always served to give a view of what is happening when not in Norfolk - Thank You. Phil

Pallid harrier Does anyone know if there is a way of viewing without a walk of xx miles. I am disabled but would like to see this. If its where I think it is at Snettisham its a few miles walk and a no go. Cannot get disabled access to the reserve as its needs a number of days notice. Any help...

Haven't been for a couple of years but if I remember you can't see over the fields that the hides view over. If that's the case not worth a visit before the reserve opens at the end of the month. Thanks. Phil

That's great thanks for responding so quickly. Out of my range. Will do Titchwell, then Holme as doesn't open till 10:00 and cannot walk down and back. Nevertheless could all be brilliant. I'm happy with the thrushes. Maybe the shrike later if light is good, had it last week as well. Should be...

Am driving down for the day tomorrow for the migrant fest. I have limited mobility, can walk few hundred metres with sticks. Is the bluetail within that distance please? Not seen much posted for Holme, has anyone been? Well early to bed tonight for 03:00 start. Cheers and thanks for all the...

I was amazed on Wednesday to see a helicopter (it looked military) flying low very close to, if not within, the boundaries of the reserve on the Western side. I have no idea on estimating heights but it was definitely within goose flying height and yes there were geese on the reserve and flying...

What a good response, especially the last paragraph. So well worded and to the point. I only visit once or twice a year due to where I live. However, I would say if the current one works and is accessible for all then why change the plan. My only comment would be please don't put in open down...

Great day yesterday. Parrot crossbills first in HCP, common and velvet scoter off Salthouse. Many thanks to the chap who put us on it, if he is on here. Demonstrated all that is good in birding. Where has the little coffee van gone, was desperate for one! Onto Titchwell, what wonderful light on...

Mick Very well said, this applies to 'birders' equally as 'photographers'. There is enough space for all and sadly the minority, as usual, taint things for the majority. I guess I am of a similar generation and do have to say that much of the bad manners and behaviour in general, especially in...

Andrew I will, aiming to be there c.08:00, long drive from Cheshire. Doubt I'll be the first though. Hope that all the news is on RBA tomorrow, bound to be loads of people hoping to catch up with some of the thrushes and rarities. I'm hoping to catch up with white-rumped sand as well. Regards Phil
