    Thanks again for all your comments - Keep up with your patch reporting Kas, it's stuff like that that is the bedrock of inspiration for would be travellers! TWM don't know the area, but if a 'Grumpy Old Man' says it's 'the best B&B', it must be ;)

    Any time Sue (I wish!) - actually I was quite pleased with the number of species I saw - 134 not bad for a car-less and rainy few weeks in Scotland and found them all myself apart from 3 of them :bounce:

    Thanks Dave - tried my best to keep the adventure to a minimum though! I haven't Ebba but would love to - do you have a reference ie. is it available online & in bookstores? Unfortunately, I did very little sketching - it was too often raining and windy, especially on Islay and was too busy...
