    RAH thanks for that. It's just that when folks who know the science get into discussion, it would be really helpful if they translated the science into every-day reality. I guess most posters felt they did that, or in fact they really did it, however due to some so called experts erroneous...

    Phew, that was some read! Enlightening and at the same time a bit confusing. I thought I had worked this out, and 'I think' that the gist of this thread bears out the decision I made to get the 40D for bird photography but I thought I would just ask the question in case I did not understand...
