    The solution to this problem, I've found, is to get top-end roofs. The Zeiss 7x42 and 8x32, the Leica 7x42 and 8x32, and Swarovski 8x32 and 7x42 all have fairly wide FOVs as roofs go, but they all control stray light very well and maintain excellent contrast in tricky lighting conditions. --AP
