    Squidge, checked and it is the same copy only it is now hardback, and now with an introduction for each different group of birds. Probably the same as you have found in your searches.

    I have seen a very similar one that is hardback in WHSMITH. They might even be the same book but in a hardback. If I get the chance tomorrow I will take my book in and compare them. Mine with the soft plastic cover I bought 3-4 years ago.
