    Hello Tom, I actually notice differences between my EL 8.5x42 and the NL 8x42. The EL is from 2016, overall the rubber feels harder, a bit denser and less compressible, I always have a slightly more solid feeling with the EL. Perhaps Swarovski has also changed the rubber coating on the EL...
