    American Pipit? - USA, California, Monterey

    Hi, Last winter (14th Jan) I saw this bird on the coast at Monterey in California. My best guess is American Pipit. However, it seems to have a little yellow on its flank, and I don't see this in pics of American Pipit, so I am a little doubtful. I'd be very grateful for any ID help Thanks Ed
