    Thanks everyone! I've always heard rather than seen woodlarks, so I didn't think of that. :)

    Can anyone help with a couple of birds seen today at Lieberoser Heide (pine/scrub area) in northeast Germany today? Bird one -- red-backed shrike? Bird two I can only guess pipit of some kind: Thanks for any help you can give!
