    Ah ha, maybe I have met you! I remember there was a Hummingbird Hawkmoth showing at the same time as the Veery, a nice added distraction.

    With the Murrelet though - there's a little thing called the North American landmass in the way! But, I'd agree with the 'never say never'! Out of interest, do any of our North American members know how many Ancient Murrelet have been recorded on the East Coast of the continent?

    Cuckoos are fairly impressive on my list - had a Great Spotted Cuckoo at Dawlish and both Black-billed and Yellow-billed Cuckoo on the same day on Scilly, with another Yellow-billed a few days later. Have there been many Chimney Swifts recently? Made a November trip to Scilly for one one year.

    Been out of the country for ten years now, but good to see the above list of blockers still holds a few I went to see in my twitching days - got the Ancient Murrelet, Tree Swallow, Yellow-throated Vireo, Golden-winged Warbler and Little Bustard. Off top of my head, I could add American Bittern...
