    Sapsuckers & Woodpeckers - NV, USA

    Maureen, Nice photos! You got 2 1/2 right. Your second photo is a Red-naped X Red-breasted Sapsucker hybrid. Too much red throughout the throat and extra red blotches on the cheek point towards Red-breasted. A very cool bird indeed. I'm not sure how many photos of this hybrid pair exist...
