    Nothingburger, just my way of saying they are not perfect. I suppose if they were 100% waterproof and had the Zeiss phat phast phocuser, they'd be 99.9% perfect. I'm still waiting for a 7x or '32 Noc :-(

    I think it's just proof positive that different-strokes-for-different-folks. I find the 7x Retros lacking in some areas, but bad to look through? Huh? What parallel universe am i from? That's not a slam on CSG - just different eye-balls I guess <shrug>.

    I use bins on a small sailboat and i'd recommend 7x if it's a boat that's going to move a lot. If it's a bigger boat (ship really) then 8x is fine. We used 8x all up the inside passage in AK (ferry) and in Patagonia, with no problem. The extra reach is nice since a lot of wildlife may be...
