    Compact camera for Macro.

I'm not saying the TG6 doesn't look impressive for a compact (I'm tempted myself, mainly for the inbuilt focus stacking), but I don't understand why the magnification ratio matters less in digital? I really don't get the idea that 1cm focusing is an advantage? surely it's better to have the...

    Compact camera for Macro.

Their web site is incredibly frustrating - reproduction ratio seems like a pretty basic measure to include. I know the TG4 could only get down to about 24 x 18 millimeters without digital zoom which given the sensor size is 6.17mm x 4.55mm is only a around 1:4. The in camera focus-stacking...

    Compact camera for Macro.

It looks impressive for a compact, but I can't find anywhere that gives the magnification ratio. I notmally use the olympus 60mm macro lens on a M4/3 body which gives true 1:1.

    Compact camera for Macro.

Decent compact, but only focuses down to an area about the size of a credit card - nowhere near true macro.

    Compact camera for Macro.

I'm not aware of any non-interchangeable lens cameras that offer true macro - most that have a 'macro mode' don't get anywhere near 1:1. You can get fairly small mirrorless cameras and separate macro-lenses.
