Do folks think the Ultravid HD+ 8x32 is on par with the Zeiss SF or Swaro EL 8x32s?

Hello Torview, Can you explain in what ways you found the 42 SF better optically? I ask because much though I love my 7x42 UVHD plus - easy, deep view, colours, comparatively compact build, a definite wow factor as they say - I have found others somehow better optically but would love to hear...

Do folks think the Ultravid HD+ 8x32 is on par with the Zeiss SF or Swaro EL 8x32s?

Hi b-lilja, You must have a bad sample of focuser on our FL as FL focusers on the 32 and also others are exceptionally good on the ones I have used (8x32, 7x42, 8x56). I would say it's possible - for me anyway - to find different bins feel better or worse at different times and in my case...

Do folks think the Ultravid HD+ 8x32 is on par with the Zeiss SF or Swaro EL 8x32s?

I haven't gone through any of the posts that follow your question yet. Just to say I have the 8x32 UVHD+ and I have never noticed any drawbacks to the focus when using the glass out in the field. If I was fiddling about comparing glass side by side I would say the Z FL is smoother but the...

Do folks think the Ultravid HD+ 8x32 is on par with the Zeiss SF or Swaro EL 8x32s?

Do you find the hair trigger focus of the FL 32 doesn't help? I feel a bit underwhelmed though I am mega-impressed by the 7x42 FL. Not saying they are bad but perhaps I'm spoilt by having some different 42s. The FL 32s seem a bit glare-prone all over too, and I do keep the front end clean. Tom

Do folks think the Ultravid HD+ 8x32 is on par with the Zeiss SF or Swaro EL 8x32s?

Interestingly, though I had previously thought the 7x42 UVHD Plus was at its best in good bright conditions (I suppose in a way everything would be) I tried it out yesterday first thing in the morning while the light was just good enough to see colours but otherwise very low. the UVHD Plus was...

Do folks think the Ultravid HD+ 8x32 is on par with the Zeiss SF or Swaro EL 8x32s?

Hi, Sorry it's me again but thought you'd like a confirmation on the size/shake/wobbly hold aspect: we are all different but fwiw I have an 8x20 BCA Trinovid and that is too small and hard to hold still (it's altogether very fiddly what with two hinges, tiny diameter eyecups and a tiny focuser)...

Do folks think the Ultravid HD+ 8x32 is on par with the Zeiss SF or Swaro EL 8x32s?

No rough focus in the current iteration that is what I have - Ultravid HD Plus. And it is possible despite the tiny size to find a good and comfortable hold on them and even a comfortable viewing position if your hands and face are fashioned the Leica way (mine must be, it seems!) The only...
