    Thanks Chuck that answered my question, being is the HG wider than the B1.:t: However small errors don't make a really big difference. Just a half inch larger or smaller on the measuring tape at 30' only amounts to maybe 4' fov difference at 1,000 yards. While knowing the difference may well...

    Chuck, I think there is a possibility of that as regards the fov. Every Maven I have checked has been wider than its stated fov. Mostly I'm just curious. ;) Actually the HG is the only thing Nikon has that holds much interest for me.It looks like it has some serious potential.

    Chuck, Check the two fov of the HG and the B1. The fov deal may go away. My B1 measures 425. Nice to have another actual measurement. I agree that the Toric is a touch behind the B1. ;)

    Amen. That is also my main objection to Albinos. Field and Stream or other outdoor publications need to get a group of similar binoculars, all 8x42 or all 10x42 and go from there. There is some stuff not there that should be there too. Chances are there is not a whit of field worthy difference.
