Sorry , not a bird question

After I have seen his death record (Cote 16D 96) here 16. Arrondisement with father Auguste Fremiet and mother Joséphine Frochot I doubt the uncle. I would have expected Werner and not Frochot if an uncle or the name of one of his wifes.

Sorry , not a bird question

Is a "peu parent" same as an uncle? What's the English word for "peu parent"?

Sorry , not a bird question

There seems a babtism entry of the son in 1826 in Paris according filae (État-civil - Relevés associatifs). Would be interesting to know when he died. The mother might have married 1840 in Paris here p. 36/51 to André Starck and died 1845 here p. 45/51. Does anyone know in which family...

Is the whole Atlas Zoologie Expédition scientifique de Morée, entreprise et publiée par ordre du gouvernement français. Travaux de la section des sciences physiques somewhere online. Examples are e.g. here, here, here or here. But is not the complete zoological Atlas. Of course Botanique I was...

Sorry , not a bird question

My question came from there as the plates/planches I have seen are not looking like Werner plates usually do. Or do you think the Eurasian hoopoe looks similar to what we see https://www.musinskyrarebooks.com/images/upload/musinsky-catalogue-two.pdf p. 78 in pdf (or 76 in the article). Of...

Death record (Cote 4 E 3456) of her here p. 226/388 8. May 1907 in Lathuile. The mothers name is Grognot (and not Gragnot). Marriage here p. 31/51 25. April 1829 and died here p. 33/51 on 19. April 1844

Sorry , not a bird question

But there must be a reason why Marie Caroline Ma(g)deleine Werner here p. 5/51 (married in 1859 Jean Marie Chappelet here p. 50/51) got money for her education at the Maison impérial d'Écouen (Maison d’education de la legion d’honneur) (see attached letter) after the death of her father (if not...

Sorry , not a bird question

And just in case anyone search for her death here p. 8/12 can't be her death record in 1863. I assume oldes daughter Sophie Alexandrine Emma Werner p. 25/29 b. 16.May 1832 and married Jean Ract 5. May 1854 here p. 34/51 (no idea when she died). The other Joséphine Virginie Claire Werner...

Sorry , not a bird question

If we read Projet de loi (about his daughter Marie Caroline Werner b. 6. November 1839 he was Chevalier de l'Orde). His second wife here here p. 25/31 seems to be burried 1884 (but have died in 1883 enty 1690). For me it looks like she did not die in Paris. any idea where she died?

Sorry , not a bird question

In context with Werner I came accross a letter signed by Fred. Cuvier from 19. Juin 1855. It can't be him here the famous Jean-Léopold-Nicolas-Frédéric, Baron de, called Georges Cuvier. What is the full name and life dates of this Cuvier?
  13. Taphrospilus

Sorry , not a bird question

From the marriage record of his partents here 94/111 and the birth record I would say his name was written at that time as Verner (and only later as Werner). But it is for sure him.

Sorry , not a bird question

A question is Histoire naturelle des perroquets : pour faire suite aux deux volumes de Levaillant, contenant les espèces laissées inédites par cet auteur ou récemment découvertes somwhere availble with better quality plates like e.g. the example?

Sorry , not a bird question

Don't think the 1818 born is the correct one as there are illustrations ca. 1830. A twelve year old boy as artist?

Sorry , not a bird question

I am pretty sure now his name was Jacques Chistophe Werner. He was first married with Anne Pauline Gragnot . They had three children. Second marriage was a Catherine Pierrette Champeaux (she died probably in Paris). According... According to Nissen no birth record in Montbéliard found. So...

Sorry , not a bird question

I read it that way Turdus naumanni (plate) is in fact Turdus obscurus J. F. Gmelin, 1789 (=Turdus werneri Gene 1832). Correct? But in this case the plate was published 1832 or before. P. S. There is still some small doubt that a Jean Charles Werner was at the Jardin des Plantes in 1860. Here...
  21. Taphrospilus

Sorry , not a bird question

Suddenly yet a bird etymology question as the old key claims: Sorry I did not get the story of Turdus werneri. Where do we find Turdus naumanni Werner, 1842? Usually the artist is not the author. I assume the name was on a plate from Werner which was published before the description (or stand...

Does anyone know if the dedication for Cercopithecus Werneri a synonym for Chlorocebus sabaeus is for the natural history painter (as well nice bird plates) Jean-Charles Werner or Jacques-Christophe Werner? He was the teacher of Emmanuel Frémiet (1824–1910). Or was second name accidentily...
