    Nikon Monarch Fieldscopes

You get better eye relief with the Monarch scope zoom, but only max 60x mag, not 75x. FOV is slightly better also I think. The 30-60x zoom will have better AFOV (55-65 degrees), will give a more "immersive" view. Only a 38x (on 82mm lens) fixed EP exists for the Monarch Scopes. Image quality...

    Nikon Monarch Fieldscopes

The ocular lens is of larger diameter than the previous zooms, and ER is better. The outer diameter of the zoom is huge also, similar to ATX i suspect. The focus mechanism felt nice and solid. The finishing seemed better than the Gavia that have a more plastic feel to it, but the Gavia is also...

    Nikon Monarch Fieldscopes

I had a quick look through the Monarch Fieldscope with the 30-60x WA EP. It looked pretty OK at 30x and ER was acceptable with glasses, but I was not very impressed at higher mag. I also looked at the Zeiss Gavia, honestly not my cup of tea either, as the quality feel was not very overwhelming.

    Nikon Monarch Fieldscopes

Not in stock anywhere around here or even at the national nikon online store. Seems like the demand for a new nikon scope is just about zero here.

    Nikon Monarch Fieldscopes

Yes, 1.25'' seems to be dropped, Would there be any optical/technical reasons for that? Any limitations? Size or weight? Or is it a commercial decision, forcing people in buying proprietary EP:s? The later feels a bit stupid, most people would probably select the Nikon EP:S any way. But people...

    Nikon Monarch Fieldscopes

Holy Cow! 2 year to late...or more. no modular stuff, but otherwise it seem to be the same specs. Don't understand why they do two different EP:s. A single 25-60x or even higher would have been better as pointed out. Also a fixed 24x/30x would have been better. Doesn't make me jump really. But I...
