    I paid a visit to the Blakeley Bee Orchids yesterday - they are starting to go over but many were still in flower. The number of spikes is incredible - they must have been even more spectacular a week or so ago.

    Hi Sean - it was in West Sussex. The plant has flowered for the last 5/6 years if I remember correctly.

    Sorry James - I've only just seen this. Castle Hill is just east of Brighton. The Early Spiders were mostly over but I had one plant still looking stunning. I'll post some photos later.

    Yesterday I had some fun at a couple of orchid sites Hartslock - 2 Lady orchids, many Monkey Orchids and the hybrids looking spectacular. Also Common Twayblades in flower. Castle Hill - Early Spider and Fragrant Orchids. Common Spotteds and Pyramidals in bud.

    Does anyone know what's the timing of the Early Spiders in the SE this year? I'm down that way this week and was hoping to pop into Castle Hill en route.
