    I missed these sketches- glad I've seen them now though. The blackwit is brilliant and so are the ducks, but there's something about the blackwit especially, just like the real thing. Congratulations on you daughter's new found stardom.

    I really like the merlin carving up the starlings. Always amazing to see.

    I really like the plovers- they really remind me of time spent at Paull Holme Strays on the Humber Estuary. I don't know why that is, it's probably the light in the painting, but I think it's a good sign when paintings stir up such strong, real memories so easily.
