    this is exactly where you'd be, but if you have a degree, you can sometimes teach or open other doors for livelihood that you cannot do without one. I found being a waitress a good job for an artist, even with my degree, as it's over when you leave, as opposed to an office job.

    it depends on where you go and what major you choose, Illustration would be different than fine art say...an atelier in Florence would be very different that a college of Design, or an art academy. here is a link to an online course that would cover everything you'd want for becoming a painter...

    Thanks for posting, you have very nicely observed birds, by looking in here with all the great avian artists you will get as much as you need and more. What needs attention is the background painting, and IMO 2 main areas need attention, in order of priorty to me anyway, Compostion and Value...
