    Point Loma, California: American Oystercatcher or American x Black Oystercatcher Hybrid?

    I uploaded an image of a bird from Colombia today to the gallery. It is less extreme than the bird in this thread, but still seems to show some of the same signs. Neither Black Oystercatcher or Blackish Oystercatcher from South America breeds anywhere near where this was photographed. Link to my...
