Sorry but this was not clear. He said: So he said "all other alphas". And you said: others with an s, meaning all the other alphas not only the 8x25. But I agree a Victory 8x25 is not better than a UV 7x42 in my experience too. -

No, I got what you said. I agree with you that the 7x42 is sharp and very good but I do not think it will eat a Zeiss SF or a NL Pure for lunch because I used them. Hence my question: we are here to compare our experiences. -

I also have the 8x25 and it is indeed excellent, good enough to replace my 8x32 Trinovid. But in the field, I find the SF 8x32, Leica 7x42 and other alphas much more comfortable and I do not get the feeling that the Zeiss eat their lunch. -

I saw no difference with my x8 alpha binoculars at the time. I cannot compare with the SF 8x42 but I compared with the SF 8x32 and the NL Pure 8x42. The Leica has more AC, more distorsion and less FOV. I still preferred its image compared to the SF because I find it a bit flat, no "wow"... -

I did, looked through the Swaro too and ended buying the Zeiss SF because I wear glasses so the UV was not ideal. But these are 3 excellent binoculars and really a matter of taste. I'm not crazy about the size of the Zeiss, the eyecups are ok but would benefit from more clicked positions and I... -

I have one as well as a Zeiss SF 8x32. I slightly prefer the Leica colors & contrast but the Zeiss as less CA, less distorsion, a wider field... So I'm having a hard time finding a reason to keep the Ultravid. BTW, before buying the Zeiss SF, I tried the 8x32 UVHD+ and the Swaro. The Leica is...
