After my first flush of enthusiasm upon trying an NL (which happened to be 8x) I find myself struggling with the question which model I'd want, what I'd want it for compared to (in addition to? replacing?) existing bins. Do I need the 8x? Not really, especially if I can get a typical 8x's FOV...
