    Help to identify this wader seen today in Essex UK

    bar-tailed godwit I believe. Just saw a vote before me for black-tailed. How do you tell these apart? I thought bar-tailed looked more streaky whereas black-tailed looked more scalloped. edit again: warmer tones to the chest and head = black-tailed ?
