I didn't see this bird but the owner of the vacation rental we stayed at sent this photo of the bird. He said about 5 minutes after we left, his dog started barking and when he went to see what was happening, he saw that his dog was barking at this bird which was perched on a lamp post on the street outside his property. He took the photo and sent it to me. It was about 10 a.m., November 24. The street is in a quiet residential area about 5 blocks from the La Paz malecon. I didn't see it, and the bird's undertail, breast, belly, and legs are not visible from the photo. Its wings and back are grey, there's white on the front, and yellow at the base of its bill. The owner said it's not an osprey as he is a sailor and has seen plenty of ospreys, but it was about the same size, maybe a bit larger. Any ideas?
