Kite identifcation help needed (French Pyrenees) (1 Viewer)

Just returned from a holiday to the French Pyrenees. Good birds. A short walk from the accommodation in the foothills near Lourdes yielded a stonechat, whinchat and woodchat (the latter two my first) all within 100 m - "chat alley".

Higher up, griffon vultures and lots of red kites. On looking at the pictures of one particular kite when back home I wondered if it's actually a black kite...
