Tech help for recordings (1 Viewer)

As I said, I do not condemn use of tapes as long as there is carefull consideration of when.

Secondly, no bird can be in doubt that I am not a member of its species when I whistle, I am not that good. So the bird chooses to check me out knowing that. It is similar to what happens when you phish for a warbler (new world kind), it comes due to curiosity, not to defend against an intruder.

This thread has given me some inspiration to "fix" my birdsong CDs, which were on my smartphone, but labeled "track 1.mp3" etc, and pretty useless really.
I'm on Linux, so my method is probably of little use.

I listed the tracks in a spreadsheet, and matched it to a digital list of the tracks, which I found online for the cds.
Then I made a 3rd column containing the rename command for each track.
Pasted the list of commands into a shell script, executed, and watched all tracks rename before my eyes.. sweet!

All way over my head and now I feel an even bigger tool. I loaded the sounds in to Itunes and it doesn't display the offending numbers, they only show on my PC?!

Thanks for all the input guys
