Yes, there is an Red-breasted Blackbird (sturnella militaris) in Ecuador. This is the description from my field guide:''Local in grassy fields in lowlands of the east (up to 400m). Slender pointed bill. Male unmistakable with bright red underparts. Female blackish above with prominent buff head striping, mainly buff below, usually tinged red. Feeds mainly on the ground, but perches freely on fence posts, wires and clumps of grass - generally not too high. Loosely colonial, even when nesting; in nonbreeding season often in small flocks''. Hope this helps.
