A poll on Brazil's controversial proposed laws, to offer amnesty to those who have cleared protected forests, shows massive majorities in the country against the amendments. Only 1 in 20 Brazilians support landowners being able to avoid sanctions under the 1965 Forest Law act, a part of the proposed new law - and nearly 80% want the president to veto it, the act if passed by the Senate.
